Learn about the transfer process
The academic levels are established by law according to the Ministry of Public Education, they cannot be “skipped” or altered in their order. The academic level to be enrolled is not established by the student’s abilities, but by the approval of the previous academic level and must be verified by the official transfer or report card from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education.
In Costa Rica, report cards from Homeschool programs are not valid legally.

Requirements
- Interview with the Principal
- Admission test approved
- Birth certificate (foreigners -Passport copy)
- Copy of parent´s identification
- One passport size photo
- Certificate or vaccination card up to date (preschool and elementary)
- Pediatrician’s medical report (preschool and elementary)
- Transfer documents from the previous school closed and sealed
- Report card of the last 3 years signed by the corresponding principals
- History of conduct from the previous school closed and sealed
- Recommendation letter from financial department of the previous school
- Electronic receipt of enrollment payment
- School Rules are accepted by parents once the enrollment fee is paid
- Service Contract signed by parents or person in charge

The minimum age establishes the academic level where the student is enrolled, this does not vary throughout the school year. After a student’s birthday they continue in the same level enrolled. (Established by law)
